The Circus

Yes...I went to the Britney Spears concert last night with my sister, my sister's BFF, and my BFF. Don't hate. We had a blast...and many laughs! I so wish I would have taken a picture of the people next to us. These two guys did not sit down the entire show and were dancing allll night. Thanks again Sister for the best birthday present...even if I am 26 and not 16!

So I'm a week and one day late...but better late than never, right? We've been super busy around our house lately. We had company two weekends in a row and are getting ready to head out west Wednesday morning.

Now...some real birthday cake that my loving hubs made for me!! It was so yummy! Everyone came to our house after dinner for cake and ice cream.

Cuppy CakeS

Yep, I said cakeS....meaning I got not ONE but TWO giant cupcake pans for my birthday! And both were total surprises from dear friends who read my blog. Thank you ladies!!! I got two DIFFERENT ones...and I'm keeping BOTH...Hubs asked why I needed both...Ummm, duh...they're different!

I can't wait to use them...ya know...when I have a second to breathe.


(Total side note...I work for an ambulance company...have for almost 7 years...one just left our station with their lights on...I thought "cool they're actually doing something" seeing as our call volume has been down...then I realized they just had their lights on to back out of the station so traffic would stop...jerks. That's not cool guys...)

Not Me Monday!

Time to hop on to the MckMama train boat and play along with her!

I most definitely have not been craving french fries since giving them up for Lent!! It's all in my head, I tell ya!

I will not be 26 this Saturday! Oh no, not me!! I'm staying 25 for the REST-OF-MY-LIFE.

I did not reward my children with milk shakes yesterday because they were so well behaved while we went shopping for several hours...and the lady making them most certainly did not give them a large inside of a small...and this mama did not help herself to some of the leftovers!

My husband did not give me money Saturday and tell me to go shopping and buy myself something since I never get to!! Awe, sweet! Then he did not buy me a brand new $300 cell phone for my birthday!

I did not go to several stores Sunday looking for the giant cupcake pan...and I did not find it...seriously, I didn't. =(

And it certainly is not me who got accepted in the National Scholar's Honor Society. *and YES, I did spell "society" wrong in the original post...why doesn't the "i before e except after c rule work here?!

The Dog

Our dog, Lucee, likes to chew.



We provide her with multiple chew bones and toys, yet she still likes to chew the girls Littlest Pet Shops, DS stylus', tissues from the trash, and rugs.

Just now, while I was doing homework reading blogs, our oldest daughter walks into the living room and says, "There's something all over the carpet" and runs off. The dog had gotten a tennis balls and ripped all the fuzzy stuff off of it and that was the "something all over the carpet." I knew it was there...I just haven't gotten off my lazy bottom to pick it up yet...simply because I don't want to. I love how children announce the obvious and then carelessly run off...leaving it for mama to clean up.

So, I'm off to pick up wet tennis ball fuzz from the carpet...maybe I have sensory issues, but the thought of it makes me want to twitch...then we're off to go shopping. The hubs hooked me up with some cash to buy myself a new outfit for my birthday dinner, thanks honey!!

Sweet Tooth Much?

I haven't always been obsessed with sweets...actually I'm usually the one person opting out of a piece of birthday cake and ice cream. I love sour things! Pickles, sour patch kids, cucumbers soaked in vinegar (yes, I know that's how pickles are made, but I'm talking about fresh cucumbers), sour green apples, sweet tarts, really anything that will make your face pucker up a little. But here lately...I'm unfortunately on a sweet kick...and a baking kick. I'm that wanna be excellent baker girl...pssh...and I think I can blame it on www.bakerella.com ;) Anyway...this post is just to say that I want this cake for my birthday...and my husband told me that he would NOT bake me a 14 layer cake...that's our family tradition...we bake the birthday cakes around here. So...I'm going to bake my OWN cake...and he can eat it...or not...but I bet he will because he's got a sweet tooth like no other!



And no, I didn't forget about the Giant Cupcake Cake ! We might just have TWO birthday cakes around here...afterall...we will have tons of family in town because the Stride4Stroke 5K is on my actual birthday!

I have been wanting one of these for the longest time...then I *kind of* forgot about it until I read The Steece's blog this morning. You know...my birthday IS in 8 days!!! I do not like to cook...but I love to bake...so...I need this!! Too bad my hubs doesn't read my blog. I don't even think he knows what a blog is!!

My Big Little Brother

Today is my "little" brother's 22nd birthday! I say little...he towers over me...so I should just say younger but it's just not the same. He used to introduce me to his friends as his "little big sister." My brother and I used to fight so much and bad! There were times I'd see how long I could hold a pillow over his little face knowing full well he couldn't breathe well due to his severe ashtma...I would pick on him when he was sick...which was 90% of the time. I remember my parents telling me that I would be sorry someday when he was bigger than me and could get me back!! I didn't think that would ever happen but it really didn't take long for him to shoot past all 4'11" of me! And yes, he did get me back! As a family we've all been through a lot and I have a soft little spot in my heart for my baby brother. I can't help it...even during times when I KNOW he should know better and that it's time for him to grow up...I still can't help but want to help him anyway I can. He's the baby of the family and I just want to baby him forever...act like he's still 13 and needs me to pick him up from school...needs me to take him to his friends house...that he just needs me at all...but he doesn't anymore. He's 22 now...has his own apartment with his girlfriend in Louisiana...has his own job...has his own truck...and his own life. But in that soft little part of my heart he'll always be my LITTLE BABY BROTHER! Love you Scotty!!
